Long time no see! Or rather long time no blog? Whichever, I had a very relaxing winter break and I hope you did as well! I'll do my best to catch you up in this one post on everything that's been going on. First, there is nothing better than the last day of finals. What a relief! The thing I hate about college is with all the stress and anticipation over finals, there is no enjoyment of the days leading up to the holidays. You know the struggle is real when you have to put up a video of a comfy living room while you study... The night after finals, a group of us got together and exchanged gifts! I have the best friends ever 😍 We had supper and played Catan. I can't believe I had never even heard of it, but now I am hooked! The mug isn't mine but thought it was very appropriate... I had to stay in Duluth up until Christmas Day because of work. But I used my time to bake some awesome cookies! Shoutout to my decorating helper(Justin)! As many of you experienced, the weather was awful Christmas Day. Justin and I planned on going home Christmas morning, however we were concerned that the roads would be too bad that we wouldn't make it. So...after Justin got off at 11:30pm we decided to hit the road. Surprisingly, I actually enjoyed driving at night better! Maybe it was because I had to concentrate more or the headlights of the oncoming cars, but I didn't get tired even once! I did regret it the next day however. I didn't sleep well and tried to supplement with caffeine. The combination of the lack of sleep, too much coffee, and all the hustle and bustle gave me major anxiety. Luckily it turned around and after a nap I felt better. We spent the day enjoying good food and each others company. We returned to Duluth and the bitter cold set in. Unfortunately it was so cold that the front tires on my car went flat! It was a long ordeal, but I got it towed to the shop and they were able to get it fixed. I walked over to the mall while it got fixed and had some Noodles & Co. Break was definitely relaxing, but it went by too quick. Before I knew it, January 13th arrived. We kicked off going back with the annual Pharmacy Bonspiel! This years theme was Legends of the North. This was only my second year but I had a blast! Classes started and I had to readjust back to the school life, but everything has been going good so far. Now that I am back in my normal routine, I'll be posting more! Sorry for being M.I.A but glad to be back!
