I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! We had five, yes FIVE, glorious days off from school so I was able to go home and spend time with family. Before I left for home, we had a friends-giving which was super fun. Justin and I brought creamed corn, stuffing, and mini pumpkin pies but there was also pigs in a blanket, stuffed shells, scalloped potatoes, coffee cake, chicken wings, cookies, and mimosas! Not your traditional Thanksgiving, but for college students I was impressed! We had lots of laughs playing cards against humanity before calling it quits and headed back. A big thanks to Anais for hosting! The holiday season also brings Starbucks holiday drinks. I am not a fan of the peppermint mocha but my absolute favorite is the chestnut praline latte. I wish they had that flavor all year round! Thanksgiving day I went to Justin's family and celebrated with his parents, grandparents, and brother. Then Friday, my mom and I went to do some black Friday shopping and later celebrated with my brother, his fiance, and my aunt. I think turkey is my favorite food among all the traditional Thanksgiving foods and this year's didn't disappoint. After eating we all went to a comedy show, Laughing All the Way, on Friday. Justin joined us and we sampled some craft beer at the Urban Moose afterwards. I was pretty impressed! Finally on Saturday, we went to pick out a Christmas tree! It was awfully warm out but nonetheless we found the perfect one. Last, but not least, was dad's Thanksgiving! It was a full house but that's what makes it extra fun. Raven, my brother's dog, got to meet Izzy. I could just squeeze both of them! Izzy stole all of our hearts with her cooing and cute faces. She's such a happy baby! Now it's back to the grind and finish out the semester. I always feel like after Thanksgiving time goes into hyperspeed. I am definitely looking forward to Christmas break already!!
